Trusting God's Story
Luke 2:1-4
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.
So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
❤️❤️❤️
Mary and Joseph were getting ready to have their baby. They had many questions, like: Is the baby healthy? Are we ready to be parents?
When Mary’s pregnancy was almost over, the leader, Caesar Augustus, said everyone had to go back to their hometowns to be counted. So, Mary and Joseph traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem. This trip took four days.
When they got to Bethlehem, there were too many people, and all the inns were full. So, Mary gave birth in a stable with animals around her and put baby Jesus in a manger, which is a box for feeding animals. This was not the nice place Mary wanted for her baby, but it was part of God's plan.
God showed us that even though Jesus was born in a simple place, He is very important. People like shepherds and wise men could come to see Him, showing that everyone is welcome in God's Kingdom.
Mary and Joseph trusted God and accepted their situation. They didn’t demand a better place for Jesus; instead, they believed in God’s plan.
Jesus’ birth reminds us to trust God and let go of our own plans.
Prayer:
Abba Father God, thank You that Your ways are different than mine. Sometimes this can be hard to accept but it is a good thing! Thank You for sending Your Son and teaching me so much about Your Kingdom through His birth. Humble. Accessible. You are worthy of all my trust. Today, I choose to trust You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
John 6:35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
Jesus replied, “I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God’s kingdom!”
Then everyone who has faith in the Son of Man will have eternal life. God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent Him to save them!
(John 3:3;15-17 CEV)
So you will be saved, if you honestly say, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. (Romans 10:9 CEV)

Friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. You know you learn to endure by having your faith tested. But you must learn to endure everything, so you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything. (James 1:2-4)
The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)
❤️❤️❤️
I pray that God, who gives hope, will bless you with complete happiness and peace because of your faith. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope. (Romans 15:13 CEV)
