Honoring Jesus

Matthew 2:10-11

When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.  On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
❤️❤️❤️

While Israel waited for a Savior, three wise men studied the stars and ancient texts in the east. These men, known as "magi," likely came from Babylon or Persia. They were eager to find Jesus because they saw a special star—a sign that a King had been born.
They set off on a long journey to seek Him, wanting to worship the one the signs pointed to.
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.”  - Matthew 2:10 NIV

This story shows strong devotion and honor. While Israel waited, these men followed a sign. When they found Jesus, they recognized Him right away and bowed down in worship.
Their journey reminds us that it’s important to seek Jesus. The good news of Christ is for everyone!
When they met Jesus, they brought gifts with special meanings. Gold showed Jesus' kingship, frankincense showed His divinity, and myrrh symbolized His future suffering. These gifts reflected their understanding of who Jesus was and who He would become.
The wise men worshiped Jesus because He was worthy—and He still is. How will you honor Him?
Prayer:
Jesus, You are worthy of being sought after.  You didn't have to parade around Your importance- the very skies proved that a King had come!  You are still King.  You are on the throne.  Thank You for inviting me into Your Kingdom, to see and know You.  Like the. wise men, I want to worship and honor You with everything I have.  In Your name, Amen.

John 6:35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Jesus replied, “I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God’s kingdom!”
Then everyone who has faith in the Son of Man will have eternal life. God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die.  God did not send His Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent Him to save them!
(John 3:3;15-17 CEV)
So you will be saved, if you honestly say, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. (Romans 10:9 CEV)

The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)
