You Are The Light

Prayer:

Abba Father God, You gave us Your Son The Light of the world.  Give me the courage and strength of character to follow Jesus unconditionally.  Regardless of my trials or temptations, I want to walk with Him.  I want to experience a personal relationship with Him.  I want Jesus to be the one I pursue above all else.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

John 6:35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Jesus replied, “I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God’s kingdom!”
Then everyone who has faith in the Son of Man will have eternal life. God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die.  God did not send His Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent Him to save them!

Many people see the world as a dark place, feeling lost or helpless. Jesus recognized this and urged His followers to bring light into the world.

We don’t have to create our own light; we are called to reflect Christ’s Light (John 1:4). However, it can be challenging. We may want to hide our light to avoid scrutiny, and some who prefer darkness may try to dim it. To prepare, draw closer to Christ, the source of life. When you walk with Him, you walk in His light (1 John 1:5-7), and others will sense this light even if they don’t recognize it. The closer you get to Jesus, the brighter your light will shine. Study His actions in the Gospels—how He helped others and spoke truth. Being a light-bearer has its risks and rewards. Your light can offer hope to those in darkness and reflect the glory of our Lord, changing lives forever. You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16).
