Who Are You Living For

Galatians 1:10

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Saul had a good life. He had a nice job and knew important people. But he was not kind to Jesus' followers. He tried to put them in jail or hurt them. One day, while going to Damascus to catch more Christians, a bright light blinded Saul. He heard Jesus say, “Why do you hurt me?” For three days, he could not see. Then God sent a man named Ananias to help him see again. This changed Saul’s life. Saul became Paul and started telling people about Jesus. He traveled a lot and wrote many letters that are in the Bible. He went from being important to being a preacher who faced trouble and went to jail. Paul was happy with his new life. He said that things he used to care about didn’t matter anymore because of Jesus.  

If you want to change, remember that God can help you, too. You can pray and talk to Him about what you want to change!

Prayer:

Abba Father God, there are so many things in my life that need my attention.  Help me to remember that You are the most important, and not to be distracted by other things.  Help me to value Your opinion of my life and to live in a way that honors You.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

John 6:35 Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Jesus replied, “I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God’s kingdom!”
Then everyone who has faith in the Son of Man will have eternal life. God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never really die.  God did not send His Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent Him to save them!

So you will be saved, if you honestly say, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe with all your heart that God raised him from death. (Romans 10:9 CEV)
